ESAE's membership, associates and affiliates comprise some 5000 European association managers - chief executives and senior directors from hundreds of associations throughout Europe who have a critical influence not only on their own associations but on their hundreds of member associations as well.
The European association market
Today there are estimated to be about 5,000- mid-to-large sized associations in Europe, including membership organisations, interest groups, trade associations, institutes, and societies - a substantial market looking to buy products and services facilitating communications with each other, their members and their sectors.
The global buying power of associations is on the increase. More than 50% of all international association business now occurs in Europe. During the period from 2005-2008, European associations reported sustained performance and better attended events - a trend likely to continue, even in the present climate.
ESAE and the buying power of its membership organisations
ESAE members are made up of European associations, each representing a strong buying force in its individual sector. The buying power of ESAE lies in the financial strength of its member organisations and their individual members.
ESAE's member organisations comprise a core group of senior Chief Executives and Directors managing substantial budgets and making major purchasing decisions. These high-ranking association management professionals influence the purchasing, communications, events and IT buying decisions within their associations. But it's the tens of thousands of members within these associations' memberships which represent an enormous market for products and services.
A formal annual partnership between ESAE and a corporate sponsor would feature access to ESAE members and stakeholders via postal mailings, online branding and a highly visible presence at events.
Events
ESAE provides an international framework for round tables, seminars, and events throughout the year, highlighted by keynote speakers from senior levels in industry, government and association management.
ESAE members enjoy a range of opportunities to learn and exchange ideas and insights with other association executives across the continent and beyond. Throughout the year, members can access a wealth of events, seminars, networking initiatives and educational activities supporting their ongoing requirements for continuing education, professional recognition and information exchange.
Corporate sponsorship will also include branding and publicity opportunities related to all ESAE events. The corporate sponsor logo will appear on all event literature and marketing material produced for events timetabled from October 2009 - October 2010, scheduled as follows:

As part if its remit, ESAE exists to educate its members and stakeholders about themes of importance to association managers. Governance, leadership, public partnerships, lobbying, and management trends are key topics for this high-end group and have been the subjects of seminars, drawing a wide audience of top level delegates. Over the past year ESAE has partnered with prestigious academic institutions such as the HEC international business school (Paris, France) and Universiteit Maastricht (Netherlands.) Similar seminars are planned for 2010 and beyond.
March 2010 Seminar: / or ESAE involvement with EMIF association programme (day)
We aim to repeat the successful partnership with EMIF (www.emif.org) launched in 2009. EMIF invited 200 association managers to attend its trade fair. Taking advantage of EMIF's hosted buyer programme in which the hotel and travel for delegates was reimbursed by EMIF. ESAE will provide the association day morning programme of content, reaching these managers via a morning of speaker presentations and Q&A.
June 2010: Seminar or Breakfast Briefing (morning) followed by networking lunch
A high-end 'niche' event, with an audience comprising approximately 20-30 European association Chief Executives, Directors General, Executive Directors and senior commercial directors. A known speaker from government or industry will address the group.

The corporate sponsor would receive branding in this publication in the terms of visible logo presence in the journal.
ESAE will advise on appropriate material for inclusion in mailings to enable them to exploit the opportunity of reaching targeted audiences.
The ESAE website provides valuable information to associations in Europe and is linked from the ASAE website which increases online visits to ESAE related pages. In order to reach this international audience the Corporate Sponsor logo will appear prominently on the ESAE website home page: (a) on an active scrolling banner featuring all partners and (b) as a static logo. Both logos to offer a 'click through' to the corporate sponsor profile page to contain copy and logo provided by sponsor.
